A Night of Surrender, Sisterhood, and Purpose
On a warm summer evening, the room filled with anticipation as our 1st Annual Summer Women’s Event came to life. The night began with soft lighting over the stage and large screens proudly displaying our event banner. Guests were welcomed with our takeaway table and the smiles of women serving food, creating a space that felt like family from the very first moment.
The opening scenes of the night were captured beautifully in our event video. Flashing from joyful serving to heart-to-heart networking between women who, hours earlier, were strangers. Soon, the atmosphere shifted as we welcomed our speakers, each carrying a message that would meet every woman exactly where she was.
Before the word, worship set the tone. Three young members of NextGenCMC ministered powerfully with For Your Glory by Tasha Cobbs Leonard. A moment that silenced the room in awe. Then Psalmist Tashelle led us into a deep place of worship, preparing hearts for what God was about to do.
Our host kept the evening flowing with laughter, engagement, and thoughtful questions, and the audience responded—literally—speaking life into the mic, sharing testimonies and truths. The night ended with women holding hands in prayer, standing together as sisters committed to walking in God’s will.

Kedesha Kondell – Founder of Kondell Business Services
A mother of two and business/communications consultant, Kedesha brings lived experience, passion, and spirit-led wisdom to everything she does. She helps nonprofits, ministries, and businesses gain structure and clarity. As event organizer and host, she reminded us that true purpose is found in surrender to God.
Tonya Raymond – @DearGodsDaughter
Christian life coach, author, and founder of The Heart Garden Academy, Tonya helps women heal from toxic relationships through her “Tend to Your Garden” method. She shared her own story of rediscovery after divorce, encouraging us to fully surrender to God so He can reshape our identity.
Tashelle Brown – @AffinityMinistries
A wife, mother of four, and founder of Affinity Ministries, Tashelle shared her testimony of overcoming a painful childhood, church hurt, and depression. Her story reminded us that God’s voice still guides us through seasons of uncertainty, and that His truth defines us, not our past.
The Heart of the Night
This year’s theme was What We Need to Let Go & God’s Will. Women left feeling fed, encouraged, and delivered. Each guest received a workbook to help them identify their talents and purpose in Christ, and the night closed with a bold call: Reclaim your future and surrender to the will of God.
Looking Ahead
Next year’s 2nd Annual Summer Women’s Event will carry the theme: Flamin’ Future – Emerging from a Season of Refinement. It will be a continuation of this journey. Deeper, bolder, and even more transformative.
