JEREMIAH 32:37 NIV
“I will surely gather them from all the lands where I banish them in my furious anger and great wrath; I will bring them back to this place and let them live in safety.”
MESSAGE
God gives us warning when we are being disobedient. He will hinder our progress, send us messengers, and talk to us through dreams etc. Sometimes, we don’t even realize when our backs have turned to Him and have forgotten His voice.
– This is what the Israelites constantly did. So, eventually He’d let their ways bring them down to a place of return to Him.
Psalms 127:1 reminds us what God doesn’t build is built in vain. Meaning, we will work hard to get something that God didn’t give you. (When God blesses us, we will work but it will cost less and reap more reward.)
1 Samuel 15:22 is a testament to OBEDIENCE being better than sacrifice. We can do a little of what God said, obtain your desires, and stray off path. We may give Him tithes, offerings, and help the poor—but if we’re not fully following His will…He will eventually let you have your way until you’re sick of it or realize “maybe this is not God’s plan for me”.
– Turn from your sacrifice today and repent. Give God your obedience and allow Him to lead you to His will. He is the only giver of good gifts.
PRAYER
Lord Jesus. You are our only hope. In everything we do you are always there, reaching out in love to redirect, restore and reconcile us to you. Teach me your ways so that I honor you and remain faithful and obedient to your commands. I repent to you every sacrifice made in place of my obedience.
In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
