JUDGES 5:31 NIV
“So may all your enemies perish, Lord! But may all who love you be like the sun when it rises in its strength.”
MESSAGE
It’s better to be a lover of God than an enemy. We know all of His enemies perish and don’t receive eternal life. What other reason do you need? We, as women and men, are judged by our enemies as much as our friends. There’s no serving two masters (Matt. 6:24) and no being friends with the world and God (James 4:4). When God is your friend, you don’t lack anything (Psa. 23:1)—especially anything good! (Matt. 7:11).
To love God is to choose life, wisdom, and peace. The world offers temporary pleasures, but God’s friendship offers eternal joy and strength. It’s not always easy to turn away from things that once felt good, but the fruit of obedience is far greater. His presence satisfies where the world leaves us empty. Choosing Him daily, even in small ways, reflects where your true heart and treasure lie.
PRAYER
Lord, I thank you for giving us free will. This life we live is yours and you give us the opportunity to choose peace or chaos. Lord, as we know your enemies will perish and Jesus overcame for us, we receive your love and gift of everlasting life today! Lord, I repent to you my sins and ways of which made me a friend with the world and your enemies.
Sanctify me God. Lord, I believe Jesus died for my sins. I thank you for the Holy Spirit that dwells in me. Lord, lead me the way of the righteous. I may fall, I have fell but God I’m asking you to raise me up with strength, like the Sun and the Son..
In Jesus name, I pray. Amen!
